It's the last day of December already. First of all, thanks for all the participation of this year's Christmas event, this one is the biggest and most fun so far, since it started three years ago. This is a yearly event organized by anons to bring some Christmas joy and break the barriers that often set apart anon communities from all around the internet for a couple of days. Starting tomorrow, the board is going to be locked, the preparations of next years' event are starting on November 15th if you don't see the board open again by that time, go yell at me on >>>/ac/ since that's the board I spent most of my time, generally on their 8tv streaming thread. Ya es el último día de Diciembre. Primero que nada gracias a todos los participantes del crossover Navideño 2024 por hacerlo el más grande y divertido desde que comenzamos y por llevarlo bien y no caer en peleas tontas. Este es un evento que organizamos anualmente para llevarle un poco de alegría navideña y separar las barreras que tenemos entre diferentes comunidades anónimas durante unos días. A partir de mañana el tablón pasará a estar cerrado, las organizaciones para el evento del 2025 comenzarán en quincena de Noviembre, si no ven el tablón abierto por esas fechas, vayan a gritarme en >>>/ac/ que es ahí donde paso más tiempo, generalmente en el hilo de streaming 8tv, si aún así no escuchan noticias de mi, entonces vayan con Codexx y pidan reclamar el tablón. Feliz Navidad y próspero año nuevo, los estimo mucho.

Time TBD but probably 6pm UTC. All are welcome, although the movies will all be in English with no subtitles. I'll return to post the Christmas card when it's finished.

The forth book from the novel adaptation of the Hilda series is Christmas centered despite the book's title not mentioning it. It covers the first half of the Season 2 using the Yule Lads as a continuous plot point between self contained adventures with the Gryla confrontation and the Sonstansil blooming. So pretty solid reading for the Christmas season, specially since you don't see these fuckers quite often on media in general (or any interpretation of other Christmas folklore in general besides what americans are familiar with). It also doubles as alternative history since the setting is Scandinavia without Christian elements, only pagan and coming to a festivity quite similar to Christmas giving away presents and decorating trees. >post some books about how the guy learns Christmas was good after everything he went through The common theme of Hilda media (comics, Netflix series and novels) is that things are not often what they look like, which this book follows, the Yule lads are corny and a little obnoxious but they don't seem malicious until they start kidnapping children and after that Hilda realizes they are doing it because they are basically are Gryla slaves. But in this book in specific the moral is "use your fucking brain, retard", the Yule lads have been hunting children for literal centuries and never crossed to their minds try tricking Gryla by giving her literally anything but children as food until Hilda crossed their path and suggested it. So this book is quite unique in that regard too, sine it's Christmas related and it's not about "learning the true meaning of Christamas", "help Santa to deliver the presents" or something corny like that, but about the child kidnapper goblins learning how to try Gryla into not killing children.
